The best vacations I have had so far is when I went to Barcelona last year's June. I went on my own and I was supposed to stay at an uncle house, but the first day I got there I went for a walk before getting to the house. I was wondering around when I walked in a Armenian ghetto. I didn't notice until three guys and two girls, all Armenian, started to talk to me( they spoke Spanish) . They were between seventeen and nineteen years old and at first they were kind of aggressive but when we started talking they changed and treated me well. They were kind of a punk gang but they didn't wear typical punk clothes, they looked pretty regular. After talking and laughing for a while they asked me if I had a place to stay, I said no and they invited me to stay with them. They took me to their okupa house and told me to leave my stuff there, the house had pretty cool graffiti on all of it's walls. It was kind of dirty but it was evident that they worried about their place and tried to keep it "decent".
So I spent the hole week with them and they took me to ska-punk gigs every night at the different ghettos. It was my second time in Barcelona so I already knew all the touristic places, therefore I just spent my time there dancing every night, fighting sometimes and drinking. The best thing ever about it is we fell asleep every morning listening to the Velvet Underground song Heroin at a small square (The Velvet Underground - Heroin there you have the song).
And that is pretty much everything I did there, it is the best holiday so far because it was specially different, I met cool people, went to punk gigs. The thing is that I did things that I wouldn't have done in a touristic visit.
